Flood insurance

22 July, 2014 by Ian

insurance-claim-formThe Government intends to protect  householders living in high flood risk areas who may have encountered difficulties renewing insurance or securing adequate cover. The Flood re-insurance scheme does not mean that either the Government or taxpayers will underwrite the risks for ever, but the new arrangements – to be introduced later this year – will provide an immediate safety net. It is an important measure which has obvious implications for many constituents. The scheme has just been opened for formal consultation and I have received this letter from the Minister Dan_Rogerson_letter_to_MPs_on_Flood_Reinsurance_Scheme_Consultation_launch
