Artists impressions are deceptive. GWR spent over £20million tarting up Taunton’s tired station. But most of it went building a flash multi storey car park and a new look for the ticket office. All fine and dandy unless you happen to want to use the trains and need to change platforms. This simple process still involves trecking out to the main road and dragging luggage up a ramp on the other side. Maybe GWR staff could help? Unfortunately constituents have been telling me many horror stories of unfriendliness and downright rudeness encountered when they ask for assistance.
