Why Exmoor needs a mast

25 November, 2015 by Ian

mobile mast It was all systems go just a week or so back when planning permission was granted for Haddon Hill’s 30 metre phone mast. But suddenly the well laid plans went awry when the contractors, Arqiva, said they didn’t have time to complete the project and meet all the specifications for Government assistance.. Hmm. Exmoor must cease to be a mobile phone black spot and a dead zone for internet traffic. Without these basic things businesses will never take root. The mast was a good idea. The time limit may be red herring. I intend to see that it doesn’t wither away. I will be talking to the Minister soon and seeking some assurances that if it just a question of time then more time will be given.
