pylonsAn important milestone in the long road to new nuclear power was reached today. The Government’s decision on a planning application to build a new range of pylons to carry the lines from Hinkley C power station was finally made. It is one of the vital links in the complicated process of planning towards Britain’s first new nuclear power plant for a whole generation. The process has involved environmental and practical considerations and has not been without controversy.The details are long and the final thumbs up only comes after very careful scrutiny.
