New Opportunities for West Somerset

5 October, 2016 by Ian

solutions-on-blackboardThe Government will be investing millions of pounds in West Somerset from now on to provide new educational opportunities for children and students. The aim is to bring the area, which is hampered by remoteness, back into balance with other more prosperous and better connected parts of the country. It is great news for all our schools, colleges and students. The money will help to drive original ideas and bring some fresh reality to winning proper opportunities and training for all our young people. Justine Greening, the Secretary of State for Education, unveiled the plan yesterday afternoon. I expect to be in touch with her regularly as the programme develops.
