I hold regular surgeries in Bridgwater (16 Northgate) and Minehead (in the Headteacher’s room at the Middle School) in order to meet constituents face-to-face. These are organised by appointment to avoid unnecessary delays. The appointment system also allows my office team time to obtain all the details before I get to meet you. First we need to be sure that you are a constituent, living and registered to vote locally – that is why we ask you to supply your full name address and postcode. We also try to offer advice very early in the process. Some matters are completely outside my powers as a Member of Parliament. Normally we are unable to become involved in legal cases, for example. Other problems are often best directed to your local council and we will suggest talking to the council or your councillor. So I would urge you in the first instance to contact my office for an assessment of your situation. We will try to help if we possibly can. You can reach us by mail at: 16, Northgate, Bridgwater, TA6 3EU , email ianlg@parliament.uk or by telephone: 01278 458383
