Magnox workers deserve better

The unions representing those who have been working hard to successfully (and safely) decommission Hinkley A power station came to see me the other day. They are complaining about the impact the new Enterprise Bill is likely to have on them. Magnox is, effectively, a private company and the people it employs have specific employment rights, particularly in regard to redundancies. But this new legislation appears to endanger some of those benefits. I think the Government has got it wrong and I am fighting to get them excluded from the impact of the Bill.
