This November will be very different. It has to be, for the sake of public safety. No march pasts, no ceremony at the Cenotaph in Whitehall. No packed church services. And no friendly faces knocking at the door to ask you to contribute to the annual British Legion appeal. We will, of course, remember every single one of those who gave their lives to protect us. But we may not be able to remember together in quite the same way. It may be helpful to look through the official local authority guidance about how Remembrance events are to be held, so I am publishing them in full right here.
