High Street Heroine

18 October, 2019 by Ian

A very big “well done” is due to Samantha Carr of the Snug bookshop and cafe on East Quay in Bridgwater. Right now she will be heading north to Edinburgh in the hope of landing top prize in the Great British High Street awards.

Sam has made it to the finals and deserves a pat on the back.

Her passion for books is obvious (she used to be a librarian) and her business acumen is also worth noting. Sam’s shop has only been open for a few months but has already developed a devoted local following – that is how she was nominated for this prestigious award. So, if you haven’t yet browsed her shelves yet – perhaps you should!
