There used to be a very large, well-guarded Ordnance factory next to the M5 just outside Bridgwater. It was where, for example, the fanous wartime bouncing bombs were filled with explosives. The munitions are long gone and the site is ready to be re-developed by a very go-ahead company that intends to transform it into the most significant business science park in the south west. Gravity is the name it has been given, and last night their scheme secured a fast-track “Local Development Order” passed by Sedgemoor District Council. It is a highly significant milestone for a very important project that should deliver at least 4000 jobs. I managed to air the subject to the Leader of the House of Commons just before lunchtime today.
