FUNFAIR AFTERMATH

The Mayor of Minehead (resplendent in his chain of office) and a fellow town councillor at the funfair which should not have been allowed to happen. I am still very annoyed that the event was arranged by the council. You cant do effective social distancing on the rides , however great the efforts of the operators. I am also surprised that Somerset’s director of Public Health has not been involved. Covid infections are rising. Public gatherings like this are not helpful. But where was the County Council, who employ the Director of Public Health. It is an issue I took up today with the Leader of the House of Commons:
