JUNIOR PARLIAMENT

These guys allegedly tried to blow up Parliament in 1605.

Who was the youngest plotter ?

What goes on inside ?                                                     Is it always so crowded ?........

.........or mostly empty ?                                     How often does She visit ?.............

....and where can I buy a model of Big Ben ?

These and many other questions can best be answered on a proper tour of Westminster.  I will always try to arrange for schools and colleges to come. It isn't always possible to guarantee a tour. Security is very tight at Westminster now. But my office will make every effort to fix a date. I like to be there to meet as many people as possible. These days Parliament is, I fear, a bit of a sad laughing stock. It shouldn't be that way. This is partly because the Government has such a large majority. It means they almost always win when it comes to a vote. And when a Government almost always wins they become less likely to discuss other points of view. And open discussion is what Parliament is meant to be about: the very word comes from the French "Parlez" meaning  "to talk!"

Are you old enough to vote ? If you are have you registered to vote ? You should and you can simply by filling in,  printing and sending back the relevant registration form to the local council in your area. You can't do it electronically because they demand to have your real life signature on the bottom!

Voting is very important. The political process matters enormously too. It really does. So if you would like to see the place where laws are made, arguments are developed and ideas changed, then please: CONTACT ME
